Band Name: Silverwick
Song Name: Bitter
Album: The Winter EP
For those of you around the Medina NY area, you probably already know who Silverwick is, for those of you who don't, we'll give you a quick run down of the band. The members consist of, Ron Fox on vocals, Marcus Watts on guitars, Andy Watts on Bass/Vocals and Mike Kauffman on drums. The song currently up on this review is entitled "Bitter" of their latest work "The Winter E.P." From the beginning of this song, to the end, it does not disappoint in providing a classic head moving melody with the ability to suck you in as soon as the seemly perfect vocal lay-out begins at the 1 minute and 5 second mark, although Im convinced that this song could stand on its own with the music alone. The guitar riffs over the drum pattern on this track are done in a way that makes it obvious these boys didn't just walk into wall-mart and pick up the cheapest insturments they could find and forum a "Band" three days ago. The only downside to this song is that you may find your self repeating the lyrics over and over in your head while banging on your computer desk to the rhythm of the drums, hitting refresh over and over again on their myspace page before you figure out there is actually 3 other excellent tracks on there for your listing pleasure.
Over all this song receives 4 out of 5 AW's
